Lovely office Christmas party here with professional, discreet and attentive staff. Food was delicious, equally so for vegetarians. The Christmas decor was gorgeous and created an ambient and cosy atmosphere. Excellent cocktails too. Well received by all of our colleagues so we will return next year and do it all again. St Albans is so lucky to have this wonderful venue The Hub. Everything about this place is just amazing. We celebrated my daughters 30th birthday party here in the outside yard, such a stunning setting. Emily also kindly gave us the cinema room to screen a special video. James, Antonio & the team were so attentive & kind, we thoroughly enjoyed their presence during our celebrations. The only downside was that the party had to end…… Thank you all so much. Our number 1 venue in Hertfordshire xx

We booked the Mezzanine at the Hub for the Christmas Festive Menu for 14 people. The whole building was decorated as a winter wonderland and was magical on our arrival even including a snow machine in the entrance. The service was impeccable throughout and between us we tasted most dishes on the menu. All were delicious and served hot at the same time which is not often achieved. A fabulous evening and we can't wait to go back in the New Year.

Just had my sisters surprise 60th birthday party at The Hub in the courtyard. The food was amazing and the service was seamless. A great night was had by everyone and would definitely recommend this venue. Thanks again for a fabulous evening. Andrea

We held our summer client party at The Hub and had our best party yet! Hannah and Alex's team are wonderful, attentive and provide top class service. Emily, the events organiser, was completely brilliant and Karolina and the floor team were incredible. The food was also perfection. We are members of the Hub and I would have no qualms in recommending it for lunch, dinner, parties and more.

Modern British restaurant tucked away on High street in St Albans. Great food, super vegetarian choice, nice relaxing atmosphere, excellent service, friendly staff. We had the halloumi and peach skewers, and flat bread with dips for starters and sea bass, linguine and beet burger for mains. All great. Their tomato ketchup is excellent! Bit on the expensive side. Parking may be an issue. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely SHOCKING. The only reason I’m giving one star is down to the hostesses who greeted us, everything else in this place needs working on! We had booked a table for brunch at 11:45 although running late we called to inform the venue. Fine with that they said there is no issues but they needed the table back at 1:30 which worked for me and my wife. Arriving at 11:55 and placing the order at 12:02 the waitress who clearly was not in the best of moods and having a bad day, rolled her eyes when we ask would it be possible to eat from the brunch menu rather then the set lunch menu. Thinking only being 2 minutes late and calling in advise this would be not an issue, however clearly not as the kitchen said no. Having already gotten relaxed in our seat we decided to just have coffee and make the most of our booking. Although I found it weird that the venue turned down a food cover considering no one else was sitting in the restaurant or arriving until we left at 12:50 so around £35-£45 lost? Although we were provide some entertainment while reading our papers and drinking our coffee as the management decided to have a meeting with our waitress next to our table advising her that she was unable to take her allocated holiday during December and that she would need to do so in January. There was various negotiations on what could be done right in front of us where I feel it might have been best to do this off the floor or in the managers office. I can see why she was in a bad mood now! With one coffee down and no one asking if we wanted anything else me and my wife decided to go to Brad and Dills for our food. In conclusion, a note to the owner. I think your staff need to go on a training course for their customer service as it seems this has definitely not happened. Secondly you management might consider being more managerial and taking personal discussions off the floor and do this in a more private area. Regrettably this is my first time to the Hub and I can say will be the last and only time I will be going there.

Went to the hub to celebrate an engagement and our party had a fantastic meal and an amazing time. The festive set menu was great, the Christmas burger was to die for. Great selection of drinks in an atmospheric restaurant.
